I went to pick this up yesterday in local gameshop and was told it's been recalled. Know if it's going to be out again soon? Or can anyone recommend any good alternatives? I hear the force feedback is weak on some 3rd party ones.

I have one that I never ever use. To be honest I don't like racing games so what on earth possessed me to buy one I'll never know. 
The Microsoft ones are quite brilliant. The feedback on them is second to none, it really is.
They should be out again soon, expected them before now tbh.
