I just noticed on the macrumors guides page that had a microsoft ad for SQL. On a mac site.

I guess it would be the third party add company, but still....

Keep up the good work arn and mods!:)

Though I am aware many people here hate Microsoft (and I'm not so fond of them myself), Microsoft and Apple are partners in addition to competitors.

Umm, completely untrue.

Microsoft made a $150 million dollar investment in Apple in the Amelio days (late '90s), which also served to get them out of legal hot water, Apple long since bought that back. Apple's market cap = $53,570 million $150 million = one quarter of one percent, even if it were true.

(Why do people keep repeating these urban legends?)

A common misconception.

Microsoft did indeed buy $150 million worth of non-voting Apple stock in 1997 after a court settlement, where they also agreed to continue developing Office for Mac.

The stock has now been completely sold, for a considerable profit no doubt.

Edit: Well beaten to it by CanadaRAM!
