I see Microsoft AU damon as a start-up item. I know what it is but is it ok to remove that from my items list? THX!

I wouldn't do it manually. Instead, open up any Office app. Then go to Help -> Check for Updates. The AutoUpdate app will open. Change it to manual. This means that you won't get automatically notified when there's an update, of course. You can manually check for updates by going to that same menu item at any time, or by seeing an announcement of the new update here on MacRumors. :)

Nadyne.

What happens if it crashes.
Since updating to 12.2.7 It Crashes as well as something called "Ship Asserts" and the "Auto Updater" application.

Microsoft AU Daemon

My AU Daemon is also crashing since I implemented an update a few days ago. Does anyone know how to fix it? Or do we wait (forever) for Microsoft to send a fix?
