Microsoft Authenticator and password sync problem with 16.1 beta

have an iPad Mini 5 running the latest beta iPad OS 16.1 (20B5072b) installed Microsoft Authenticator but it just won't sync passwords (for Autofill). It goes through the motions ("Getting things read for you...") but gives up after about 30 minutes and one has to start again. Microsoft Edge works fine for its password sync, but I had to nudge it a bit by using edge://sync-intervals. the Authenticator app seems to be working fine on an iPhone and iPad Pro I have that are also on 16.x. but the app there was previously installed and synced under 15.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app and rebooted many times with no luck. Anyone else run into this and find a solution?

Hi, Did you get this resolved? I cannot get it to work either on 16.2 Beta 2.
