Wow, Microsoft's just STEALING programs now?

A while ago if you made software that MS wanted...
It used to be Evil Bill would try to buy you out cheap. Then not so cheap. Then try to Hostile Takeover you. If that failed, they would then proceed to try and ruin you and "almost copy" your software.

But at least some attempt was made to either buy you out or get you out of the way.

Now they're not even bothering? Just stealing code?
Next, they'll probably try to make it appear that they invented it first and Plurk stole it from them!

Bleah. Glad I've got a Mac and minimal MS product.

The spirit of Evil Bill lives on at MS China,
Keri

maybe they try to get away with the "notorious reputation" of China being a copycat country, that's why they started launching the copycat service there.

Actually MS will be in for a big surprise. They recently lost an intellectual property law suit in China.

Just google: Microsoft Lost Intellectual Property Infringement Case

Somehow... this does not surprise me. Let's cast our minds back to the products Microsoft have blatantly ripped off.

Office = Lotus
Windows 3.1 = Apple OS
Xbox = Playstation
Windows Vista = OS X Leopard

Now they are ripping off a Chinese facebook.

And what is the common denominator of all of Microsoft's copies??? They suck.

Nice work Microsoft... Now that I think of it, have you ever made a product that wasn't ripped from someone or something?

They made a big ass table. I wouldn't say it's a ripoff of anyone else as anyone else would have been a lot more elegant in execution.
