On Microsoft Excel i want to change/darken the color of the cell that i have currently selected, i can hardly see the cell that I am about to import information into.

Does anyone know of a preference that can change this?

Excel uses the system highlight color, so if you want to darken the selection color in Excel, you need to go to the System Preferences app, click on the Appearance section, and adjust the color in the "Highlight color" popup.
