Well every time that I sign into my messenger for Mac the usual "you have xxx unread mail in your inbox" window appears but then immediately after that, i get like 20 if not more little windows telling me that "xxxx in online"

I thought that it was just coincidence and that all those people were actually signing in at the same time but it happens EVERY TIME seriously!

I believe that I haven't changed anything in the preferences

any idea of why this is happening and how can I change it?

Happens also on aMSN , Mercury.. might be a server thing.. or sth related to that xD

I'm having the same problem. I'm pretty sure it is in fact a server problem, since I've seen it happens as well with several colleagues at work. I've googled the problem but nobody thinks it's a big deal, but I can't stand it I have the 30-inch Apple Cinema HD Display, and I get ALL the screen filled with blue boxes of my contact's names that are online. I'm using MSN Messenger v.7.0.2.
