Hi all,
Here is the problem:
I am using Microsoft Notebook Presentor Mouse 8000 with the Mac book pro. I installed the Intellipoint driver from microsoft. Everything seems fine except

I can not get the laser pointer to work. Now when i press the laser pointer button, the battery light turns red, but the laser pointer never gets on. It's like the mouse is show me that there is something wrong.

Does that mean I have a broken mouse?

italiano40 thanks for the reply.
Everything else is working except the laser pointer function. It's used to work without connecting to any computer before. I mean the laser on the front of the mouse. It lighted when I press the button on the bottom of the mouse before.

You mentioned the laser pointer? First of all, does the mouse work. Can you use it to control the presentations? Either way, it sounds like you have a broken mouse. The laser pointer is not controlled by any software and should be purely hardware thing since its not part of the "control mechanism". So yeah, you probably have a broken mouse.
