It's been often said that Google Gmail IMAP is not compliant with standard IMAP protocol, having its quirks which make it difficult to play nicely with Apple Mail. Hence, my question: how standard-compliant is Microsoft's Office 365 IMAP with the standard IMAP protocol?
-- do Office 365's IMAP folders play nicely with Apple Mail's folders?
-- when you delete an email from 365's IMAP, is it deleted, or -- just as with Gmail IMAP -- merely archived?
Are there any quirks in Office 365's IMAP that we should be made aware of?
