Hey,

I have been having a problem with my office:word '08. My math professor sends out documents with equations and when i open these documents the equations end up all squished up and makes it almost impossible to understand. Is there any solution to this problem?

Thanks

What does your professor use to edit his equations?

not a clue, but i would think it has to work on windows

also, the error comes up as "word cannot locate the server application for equation.dsmt4 objects

The problem is that Office 2008 doesn't have equation editor which other versions did and is probably what your professor used to insert the equations.

As a math professor myself, I always use LaTeX or convert my documents to PDFs before distribution, so perhaps you can ask him for a PDF copy.
