Microsoft office can't open retina

Microsoft office loads in low res mode. I have fully updated Microsoft office. I have tried terminal command touch (microsoft office apps), tried the microsoft solution of copying microsoft office folder to desktop, deleting folder in apps, and moving back into apps. Nothing is working. I have googled it to death and tried looking in here, but can't find another solution. Any suggestions? thanks
