Microsoft Office on Mac?

Guys,

My friend wanted me to find out if she had to buy Microsoft Office again?
Her HD crashed and the mac store replaced it, and installed Leopard, will her old Microsoft office apps work? or does she have to buy new versions, or download them?

her old OSX vers is 10.0

Don't ask me what she uses them for, but she does.
Please let me know thanks.

If they don't work, then she could call microsoft and explain what happened. They won't make you buy new apps for a HD crash.

I am assuming it is office 08, which runs on Leopard, and the drive is irrelevant, it just stores data. If she had upgraded to Snow Leopard and still has the disc, she can put that back on too.
