Trying to install Microsoft Silverlight - not getting past gatekeeper. Is Microsoft not a signed developer?

Quite a few software titles are not Gatekeeper-compliant. Control-click the application and then select [Open] in the contextual menu.

Yeah I know how to bypass it, I was just wondering why Microsoft of all Deva aren't signing off the packages.

Who cares? Perhaps Microsoft has not brought Silverlight into compliance with Gatekeeper because Silverlight has been slated for EOL for years now. Silverlight lives on, but Microsoft probably not believe that that it is worth it to devote resources to software that has not long to live.
