We’re not exactly sure if this is one of the worst marketing ploys ever, or one of the best. All we know for sure however, is that you can bet the bank that you will definitely find an MS DOS shirt added to our wardrobe once this new line kicks off. You hear that Microsoft? Hook it up! Microsoft is reportedly turning to seasoned ad vet Crispin, Porter & Bogusky to help it launch a line of graphic tees brilliantly dubbed “Softwear by Microsoft”. Cute. Crispin isn’t the only help Microsoft enlisted for Softwear however - and no, it wasn’t Jerry again - several of the shirt designs were handled by long-time respected artist, short-time Serena Williams-dater Common. Microsoft says of the campaign: “[Softwear is] a clothing line that taps the nostalgia of when PCs were just starting to change our lives.” This latest addition to the “I’m a PC” campaign will find its way to select stores (Urban Outfitters we’re guessing?) on December 15.

this had me doubled over in laughter for some reason. :p

Just saw this on engadget. It would be funny if M$ didn't take itself so seriously.. They actually think this is 'being cool' and hip.

idiots.

Yet if it had an Apple logo and were sold by Apple it would be an amazing idea. It's only stupid because it says Microsoft.

i'd pretty much think that i'd be a sad move by apple too. their computer companies. they don't need to be doing this imo.

I agree with PlaceofDis. Steve Jobs is the last person on Earth to be giving out fashion advice (as far as clothing goes). No, thanks.

This shirt is mildly amusing, though.

The size chart:

Basic - XS
Home Basic - S
Premium - M
Business - L
Ultimate - XL

Oh, and you can't buy Premium - Ultimate with a pair of glasses ;)

It would be stupid, yes - however due to the power of the Apple brand it would be less stupid I think. Both would be a tad lame since, as you say, they're computer companies.

As far as clothing goes, The Apple logo carries more marketability than the Microsoft typeface.

That Blue T-Shirt of Death is good! If I saw one cheap I'd grab one for myself :D
