Hey all,

Recently had a job change and I need to share lots of ideas on teams. I love Whiteboard and never had a real use for it until now.

Obviously would be good, if I had a touch screen on my 2020 MBP however, I Don't.

So was considering new iPad Air + magic keyboard + pencil but its costing about £1k....

How are other people getting around this challenge?

Cheers

If you just need to use Whiteboard and Teams, there's no need to spend that much. Just get the base model iPad and pencil.

Also whiteboard integraton on Teams on an ipad isn't amazing (yet) but kind of works. You end up doing a "screen share" on the ipad and then launching the Whiteboard app to share that. Whereas on the full Teams client on desktop the whiteboard experience is inside the Teams app in the context of a meeting.

The base model is £549 + £119 for the Pencil. Am I missing something here?

Yeah I've noticed this, I also like how I can edit Word documents. I wonder if rumoured Apple conference in November will release MacBooks with touch screen, who knows right?

I mean the standard iPad, not the iPad Air. I do not live in the UK so I don't know the pricing there. In the US you can get the iPad and pencil for around $400.

Most likely not, Apple has been quite clear and public in the past about how they do not believe a touch screen macOS experience is the way to go.
