hey guys,
Well, in the title you can guess this will involve windows. Through a student discount I got windows 7 ultimate for free. I noticed the download was 2gb, when I thought it should be 4gb. Seams it's an upgrade.

Would I be able to use this upgrade to install it via bootcamp?

if not, is there any solution?

thanks

There is actually a forum subsection dedicated to Windows on the Macintosh.

The upgrade and full version should be the same size, as they include the same bits. The product key determines if the installation is an upgrade or a full installation. The x86 media is smaller than the x64 media.

The x86 weighs in at ~2.4GB, and x64 is ~ 3.1GB
