I use two computers, one iMac at work, and one MacBook Pro at home, both running Leopard, both running Microsoft Office 2008.
The problem: I often create a Word document on one computer, email it to myself, then open it on the other. But, when I do, the bullet points symbol changes from one computer to the other. I always use the solid circular bullet, pretty standard. But, when I open the document on the other computer, all bullets in the document gets changed, either to the Sigma sign, or to the infinity symbol.
The bullet transformation occurs whether I email the document, or bring it on a flash drive. I have not yet tried sharing documents through my iDisk.
This also used to happen in MS Word 2004. So, it seems a basic feature of MS Word.
Any help about how to fix this problem is appreciated. Though, I know we arent MS Word specialists here. Unfortunately, its impossible to find useful troubleshooting info through a microsoft website.
