Well, word finally showed it's true face 
a couple days ago, Word decided i no longer needed verticle scrolling. it eliminated the scroll bar, and won't let my powermate scroll for me. the only way to navigate is w/the cursor and page up/page down. i suppose i'm going to reinstall, but i figured i'd mention it and see if anyone knew anything. anyone have any suggestions? here's a small cap of the now missing verticle bars.
