Microsoft word on Mac

So i got a macbook today and i got office for mac 2008.

Word is really different, the actual window is smaller than on the pc and there setting/ tollbar is seperate on the right.

Any way to make it look more like the windows equivilent?

I don't mind it but the computer is for my mum and she isn't the most computer literate. She's familiar with word on windows so it might be a bit too much for her to get used to.

There isn't really anything that can be done. Microsoft 2011 (which is coming out around Christmas) is more like the Windows version.

The only way to get it to look completely like the MS Word for Windows version is to install a VMWare or Parallels virtual machine and run the actual MS Word for Windows.
