Hey guys, long time lurker, new poster... first i'd just like to say thanks for all the great advice i've gathered from simply reading threads on here.

I'm in the process of buying a word processor for my mac, after hours of deliberating i've realised i want word as i know my college uses windows and for the sake of compatibility i'm willing to throw my cash on the table. My question is, does the retail disk version of home and student that you can buy in store have a product key included which can be used for a downloaded version (as i am on an air and do not wish to invest in a superdrive or such.)?

Thanks again, i'll be sure to stick around,
Ash.

(if this is somehow in the wrong section, my apologies.)

Yes, it's printed on the back of the CD sleeve. There's even a download link printed on the front of the box, works just fine.

Check and see if your college offers Office for free or at a discount. Mine gives free Office licenses to all students, faculty, and staff.
