I just came across this article

which is dated in 2010. So I guess the app must be out by now? Does anyone have it or use it? I don't have my iphone with me right now, so i can't check..

Also, which countries are included? Is canada part of it?

I don't know about a separate app, but if you want to use it, download Bing and goto Maps. It should center on your current location (or you can type in an address). Click on the the blue circle showing your current location, you will get a pop-up. On the pop-up box click on the blue people icon. Enjoy.
