I just saw a commercial for MS's Sync technology that is now on Ford's, Lincoln's, & Mercury's. It allows you to talk to your car and tell it to play a certain artist on your MP3 player, etc. I know this isnt a new technology (Acura has had this in the TL for a few years now), but I do think it has good implications: makes driving safer, allows for more complex tasks (I'm a BIG multi-tasker). So as I watched that, I thought to myself... man, Apple has worked with car companies before to develop technologies... should they get involved with something like this? Branch out a little more from the mainstay of their business as-is? They've got a good rapport with Jaguar (X-drive) & VW International (VW, Audi)... so... what do you think? Should they get involved, and if so, what should they develop? Wouldnt want to be accused of "copying" a MS technology...

I checked this out on a 2008 Ford Focus when I was getting my oil changed last week and it is a very cool system.
