I saw the unboxing photos from China and it appears that there's a microUSB to Lightning adaptor and it looks like it came with the phone. I check the Apple website but I couldn't find any information on this. Can anyone confirm/deny if this is true?

Not for US customer from what I understand.

I believe this is for EU countries where charger standards are forced upon manufacturers. It could be for other regions of the world as well, but not for the US.

Every iPhone I've seen comes with a universal standard charger with normal USB port already.

Also an adapter to adapt normal USB to their proprietary 30pin/Lightning.

Have you experienced differently?

I wish apple would include some more goodies with their phones like an extra lightning cable or even the adapter to convert old cables.

China makes it a standard that phone chargers must use a micro usb port. And Apple works it around by shipping an additional lighting to micro usb adapter for free. I guess this only happens in China and some EU countries.
