Hello.
I just bought my first mac and i have a power issue.
I bought it with a bad OEM battery(and as i found out when i got it, dim led on magsafe),holds no charge at all, the computer tells me that it needs replacing.
So i did, with a cheap ebay china one.
Now i get not charging and still dim led.
The computer works as it should with the exception of having to be plugged in all the time.
It gives dim led with or without the battery inserted.
I have opened the mac and measured about in there and i get 10.something with the china one in and 11.something with oem battery.

what can be a solution to this? new oem battery? faulty logic board?

(tried one of my gf's chargers yesterday and got a bright green led for about a minute before it too faded, non of the other show anything but dim green)

That's what happens when you mess around with cheapo batteries. Get yourself a nice OEM battery and that should fix your issues.

Ah well, crap then...a OEM battery costs more than I payed for the laptop :p
