mid 09 macbook pro screen blue ->purple

Hi All,

I just got a new mid 09 macbook pro
no matter how I calibrate the screen.
the dark/deep blue will always look like purple colour.
Anyone else having this?

That doesn't sound right at all. I'd give apple a call or take it to your local apple store.

If its within 2 weeks, you should be able to easily exchange the unit for a new one.

Do a basic search, and you'll find that this is a common problem, especially with the 13" 9C9E (which I have).

I am now using a calibrated profile that has proper blues.

mine is 15'' with 9CA3, I've search around but didn't find much that look fine for my screen.

would you mind sharing your profile?

Same issue here. Just picked up a 15" today with screen 9CA3. I've tried supercal and about a dozen different profiles, but the blues still aren't right, and the greens are just garish.

Any help would be appreciated.
