In the past month or so, my Mid 13 MBA 13"er screen intermittently goes "black" for a few seconds when switching links, etc. Then it pops back up and seems to work normally the rest of the session? This seems to mainly happen toward the beginning of a session.
Wondering if it's about to go black permanently? At the moment, I can't say if it only happens when on battery only or also when plugged in.
I know the unit is 5 years old, but other than this, it works fine and while I could buy a new one, I don't see a need to do so at this point other than do regular backups.
The one problem I have with it is that when I bought it, I installed Parallels in order to run Windows occasionally for few programs. I no longer have that need and would like to remove Parallels, but don't know how to do that. If the unit does die and I buy another one, I don't want to restore Parallels if I were to restore my present data on a new laptop.
