mid 2007 iMac ram??

I just sold my mid 2007 20"iMac ( 320HDD/2gb ram) I promised buyer, I would at least provide 4GB... is this a big deal? what can this model handle without complication?........ any and all advice appreciated......
I live in australia.

I have 6GB with Lion on that same model and it works perfectly.
