hey ive got a mid 2007 macbook and it says battery's not charging
the green power light is on on the adapter and the battery icon has the powerplug inside and it lists the battery with 11% remaining
it recognizes if i remove the battery the icon gets a X in it ive tried rebooting as well and a reset of the SMC any ideas?

How old is the battery? Cycle count?

came with the laptop but last week it still lasted for 4 hours before it hit running on emergency power
would there be that much of a abrupt decrease in life that it cant charge at all?

To get the battery info, bring up System Profiler either from your Utilities folder or by accessing 'About This Mac...' and then clicking on More Info. Highlight Power under Hardware on the left. Call up Apple with the full charge capacity and cycle count. They can evaluate if the battery can be replaced free of charge. Don't count on a free replacement without an AppleCare Protection Plan though...
