So my mid 2008 blackbook works great after some small ram and HDD upgrades. There is one issue that does bug me. The Mini-DVI port is dead. Wont work with any adapter no matter what I do. At first I thought it was me, but it doesnt apppear to be the issue. So I am thinking of getting a used logic board. Well Im thinking I can upgrade at the same time. I have the 2.4 so what I am finding is that is the max before I move into a unibody. So any ideas if there is any upgrade passed the 2.4 in that era or am I stuck with the same board and processor?

Also, has this happened to anyone else where 1 single port bites the dust? or maybe its a software thing?

Only 2.4GHz board will work for you, the board and processor are actually soldered so you have to buy board+processor. Its definitely not worth it to buy a replacement board. I suggest you to sell it on eBay for some bucks as not everyone needs that port then buy back a 2008 MacBook Unibody as they're fairly cheap nowadays.
