Hi

My Macbook Pro 2009 which i invested in new Ram and a SSD in the past 2 years now has a black screen issue.

Basically the screen flickers on and off, sometimes rapidly and then eventually just stays black. Machine works fine plugged into a external monitor via VGA but that kinda defeats the point of a laptop.

When the error first occurred i took it into my local Apple store who kindly ran test on the machine but because of the age wouldn't repair it. The tests were fine, no issue with graphics card. It was suggested to maybe look at changing the LCD screen. I did that, same outcome, i also replace the LCD cable with the same outcome.

As i said above the machine itself works perfectly besides this one issue. Any suggestions on what to do next, i'm not really looking at scrapping the machine, i'm wondering if theres a connection error somewhere which is causing this, should i look at replace various connectors?

Help

Thanks
