Wondering if Apple is using the 9CA3 exclusively in the mid 2009 15" mbp. Have not seen any other screen model mentioned for the 15", whereas a variety of screen manufactures are used for the 13"mbp. Have seen the 15" mbp in an Apple store and the colors "pop" out more than on the previous version. Had one 15" sitting next to the 24" led display and the screens looked almost identical in quality and color - well at least to me. I am no expert on displays but giving my thoughts on what I compared and seen.

The 15" I got was a 9CA3, and all the units in the Apple Store I frequent were as well. If they're shipping with more than one model, I haven't seen it.

That being said, the 9CA3 is beautiful, so good news for new buyers.

9CA3 for me I got the base spec. Its a beautiful screen, better than any that are on the 13"

The screen on my 2.66 is 9CA3 too , and it sure is beautiful, better than the unibody mbp 2.4 i use to have

can anyone post a side-by-side shots of the 9ca3 and either the 9c84 or 9c85? i need to send in my mbp with 9c84 (due to backlight leak issues) and was wondering if i could insist on 9ca3 replacement...

thanks

Just got my MBP 15" delivered today the high spec and that to has 9C3A screen, and it is brilliant, heaps better than my old mid 08 white macbook. Which I would of expected it to be anyways.
