Mid 2009 Mac Book Pro Memory Questions

I have a mid 2009 Pro 2.26 with 2gb of memory. I am running lion at the moment and she is a bit slow!!

Here is some info on the page out's in's

Free 90.3mb VM 156.49gb
Wired 533.4mb Page In's 1.97gb
Active 981.2mb Page Out's 11.3mb
Inactive 448.4mb Swap used 32mb
Used 1.92gb

Do you think increasing this unit to 8gb will make it any faster??

4 GB might suffice.
