Mid 2009 MBP, connect to TV

Hi,

I have a mid 2009 macbook pro: specs here (http://support.apple.com/kb/SP541)

I have some movies on there and would like to watch them on my sony bravia which has hdmi ports.

I've heard that the 2010 mbps have sound coming through the display port, but I don't think my model has this.

My question is therefore how can I get the sound and picture out of the macbook and into one hdmi cable so that I can connect it all up to the tv in one go.

I did do some reading on it all but it's ver confusing! Any help would be appreciated.
