Hi guys,

I understand this may be a pretty commonly asked question but I've been browsing the web for ages and I've yet to find a coherent response. I was hoping that if I made the question more personalised to myself that it might all make more sense to me.

I have a mid-2009 MacBook Pro and I'm trying to hook it up to my LG M2262D HDTV, which has HDMI, DVI and RGB inputs, as well as audio in.

Is it possible to have both audio and video through the same MiniDisplay port on my model of Mac, i.e. using just one connection? If so, what cables/adapters would I need?

If this is not possible, what would you suggest? Ideally, I would like the sound to come from my TV. Also, I heard that theres little to no difference in picture quality between connecting it up via HDMI or DVI. Can anyone vouch for this?

Basically I just need some advice as to which cables I need to sort this all out - any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for that link - can't believe it never showed up in my searches...
