What can I reasonably expect to get for my mid 2009 MBP with a 256 GB SSD and 8 GHZ of RAM?

I would say....

base config (2.8 GHz CPU) would be $1000-1150 and custom config (3.06 GHz CPU) $ 1150-1300. Also take in account AppleCare/warranties (if any), cosmetic or functional issues and general care of the machine.

If selling through a online site also factor in shipping costs/fees

Haha, no way.
In Germany the 2010 15" MBP's with i7 sell for 900 euros.
You should get around 800 tops for a 2009.

I used....

dollars, no euros, sterling pounds or cacao beans for my post, pal....do the conversion from euros to dollar, if so picky....
