My mid 2010 13" MacBook Pro is running Sierra 10.12.6 and I'm wondering if it's worth upgrading to High Sierra or beyond. I upgrade it's hardware last year to 16GB RAM, 480GB SSD and a new battery, so it's felt like a new machine. I'm comfortable with it and I don't see the need to buy a new laptop yet. But I don't want to upgrade the OS if it will slow things down. Any thoughts?

10.13.6 is pretty stable at this point. 10.14 will be some time before it is stable. Perhaps nice to update and settle in at a new, more recent level.

But will High Sierra 10.13.6 make my old Mac run slower than Sierra 10.12.6?
