Hey everyone! I have a 2010 MBP that is still going! A while back I upgraded it to 8gb of ram (crucial). And I just ordered a 500gb SSD (Crucial) I'll install tomorrow. And I'm going to need to order a replacement battery soon I'm at +750 cycles.

But is there anything else I can do to keep this baby running? I use it for music to run click tracks and backing tracks, Main stage, Logic X, etc...

I saw a post a while back that some one was able to upgrade a 17" to 16GB of ram??? Any merit to that? I thought it was only the 13" that could. I'd LOVE to upgrade my 15" to 16GB if possible.

A Mid 2010 15" won't go over 8GB of RAM. The 17" model you refer to must be a 2011 model, which can go up to 16GB.

You are pretty much at the end of the line as far as hardware upgrades are concerned.
