The computer was on standby and after touching the wireless trackpad wakes up the computer and shows me the login screen but few days ago failed to do so, infact the monitor would stay in sleep mode until i restarted the computer.
I did this a few times and randomly it loaded refindplus (only did this twice and didn't see refindplus again) but after selecting my native Mojave hard drive, it would go back into standby/blank screen.
I've been trying to figure out why this keeps happening even before I installed Refindplus (Twice before).
This morning i decided to try plug in the DP cable instead of using the HDMI cable and voila, the screen came back back on showing me the login screen.
I have 3 DP ports and 1 HDMI port on the Vega 56 gpu and 2 HDMI ports, 1 DP port, 1 Thunderbolt port on my 34'' ultrawide screen monitor.
Any guesses why this keeps happening? Also is it better just to stick to DP rather than HDMI ?
