Hey guys, I have a mid-2010 MBP (7,1 model) that originally came with 4GB of PC3-8500 (1067 MHz speed) RAM. Well I bought two 4GB of PC3-8500 (speed 1067MHz) of RAM from NewEgg but it does not boot up with both of the 4GB sticks.

If I put in ONE 4GB stick and ONE 2gb stick, it boots up fine and it shows 6GB in total. But it gets stuck at the bootup Apple logo if I boot up with BOTH of the 4GB sticks.

The manufacturer of the 8GB ram is G.Skill. There were over 500 reviews on NewEgg and lots of people had it installed in their mid-2010 macbook pros.

Any tips? Running Mountain Lion on it by the way.

Specs on new 8GB ram:

DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500)
Cas Latency 7
1.5V
Dual Channel Kit
