So my Mid 2010 MacBook Pro is not having very long battery life between charges anymore. In just 10 minutes it lost 32% of the battery, watching a YouTube video over my home WiFi. This is the 3rd battery for my MacBook Pro and the battery shows the health is 98%. I normally don't let the battery go below 20% and don't charge it over 80%. I've tried recalibrating the battery level indicator and resetting things but nothing has changed. Do I need a new computer? Of course, but this one does what I need it to do and a few years ago I maxed out the RAM to 16GB and replaced the hard drive with an SSD. And other than replacing the battery myself several times, it's been a great computer for me.
I do have Time Machine running but haven't done a backup in over a month. Also, I have the free version of AVG Antivirus running. These two programs didn't seem to reduce my on battery time before, so I'm not sure what has changed to shorten it now. Any help would be appreciated.
