Alright, I noticed an issue with my macbook recently but it only happens when unplugged. It gets sluggish and unresponsive, cue me looking into resource usage. Opening Activity Monitor, I noted that kernel_task was chewing through ~180% of my CPU. I spun up ASD EFI 3s138 and found that the PBus voltage sensor is reading below the nominal value. My questions are like this:

Where is VP0r located, MLB or Magsafe, and if on MLB, where at?
Could this just be an SMC failure?
Is there any way to prevent specific kext(s) from loading to keep the issue from happening? (Runs fine on batt in safe-boot)

Also note that I have access to diagnostic tools and resources, that is all I will say. I have done the 'simple fixes' like SMC reset, PRAM/NVRAM nuke, fresh OS install, etc. I believe this is down to the hardware failure.

Thanks for the help!
