Mid 2012 13" MBP Upgrades

I decided to temporarily (maybe permanently) trade my 2011 MBA 11" for my girlfriends MBP.

I want to upgrade the HD to an SSD like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820721107

and get 16gb of DDR3 RAM like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231582


Are these OK to put in?

The SSD you picked should work just fine, but looking at the reviews for that RAM (which I do believe is the correct kind), I'd pick a more well known brand like OWC or similar

1600 MHz PC3-12800 DDR3L SDRAM SO-DIMMs (204-pin) is the spec for the RAM in your machine. RAM is a commodity. If it meets the spec it will work. There is absolutely no reason to pay OWC $189 for this RAM when you can get the same RAM from Newegg for $147. The RAM you linked from Newegg will work fine.
