Mid 2012 13'' MCP Battery issue

Hi,

Im having problem with my mbp. power chord doesn't charges. Grabbed my brothers chord and worked. Fully charged but when i try to charge again it didn't work with my brothers chord too.

So what are my options to fix this? I mean instead of taking it to the service what can i try by myself?

Try cleaning the contacts on the magsafe port and on the ac adaptor, perhaps its just dirt built up

could be the magsafe board at fault had the same issue it was replaced under warranty out warranty it hardly costs 30-50$
