i just got a used 15" A1286 and started to clean the keyboard by taking off the caps and scissor mechanisms. i wanted to do a deep clean but it seems like a lot of particles have gone under the silicone and metal frame. so it looks like i'll have to go in from behind. OEM keyboard functions normally. i noticed some A1286 new keyboards from china are only $15 and back light sheets are only $10. are these ebay parts as reliable as the OEM apple keyboard/back light? i figure i might as well disassemble everything and clean. at this point should i also replace the thermal paste?

Would it not be better to buy a air pressure can and use it with a small laptop vacuum?

I have the same model, very customisable
