I purchased a macbook pro today. I have other Apple products and when I take the item out of the box for the very first time-- there is some battery in it. However, when I opened my macbook today, I tried to boot it up but I couldn't because there were zero battery in it! I was wondering if this is something I should be concerned with? Is it something serious?

If it came out the box and had no charge (or so little charge so that it would not start) this isn't an issue. If it was plugged in and wouldn't boot, then you would have a problem. Enjoy your new Mac!
