This has me and another tech gone for a loop. We put 8gig ram into a macbook pro for a user and it worked fine for about 2 weeks. Then one day it just shut down. Restarted and stated there was a error and wouldn't boot. I got it into recovery, and it refuses to mount the OS partition. Can't do anything with it. At this time we didn't know it was the ram. I grabbed another macbook and moved the ram over since the user needs it for a VM. An hour later the same issue. I have tried to access the HD when the macbook is in target mode and I still can't do anything to it. At this point we decided it has to be the ram.
It's Crucial memory bought directly from them and we used the ram picker on their site. The package is also labeled Mac compatible. Anyone ever come across anything like this before?
