Ok, here's the story. I have a 15" Mid-2012 MBP (non-retina) that would not power on. I had AppleCare, so I took it in to the Genius bar. Guy there couldn't get it to start either. They shipped it off to a repair facility. Got word back that there was liquid damage and that the keyboard and wireless cable needed to be replaced - total cost to me, $610. Ouch!
So, I sourced the parts myself from Powerbook Medics and ordered an "upper case" and the cable for about $300 and figured I could do it myself. I'm an electronics tech and the proceedure on iFixIt while time consuming, didn't look difficult.
Got the parts in and went to town - slow going, but it all came back together perfectly (got all the cables hooked up to the logic board just fine. Went to plug it in - magsafe lights up... Still dead as a doornail. Tried reinserting the keyboard cable several times and it looks like it's in there good.
Now where do I go, or what do I do?
