My friends MBA boots to a black screen and then changes to a slight gray with lighter vertical lines. If you drag your finger along the trackpad, one of the vertical lines follows your finger from left to right. Scouted the internet and found similar issues so I tried resetting the PRAM and opened it up to check the video cable connection. Everything internally checks out fine. Now he said he dropped it at some point but I don't know if it's related and if it still worked after or not. Pretty sure he would've made that clear though if it was directly correlated to the drop. There's only outer shell damage to the right bottom corner from that.

Either way, apple care is giving him a hard time because of the dings from the drop. Anyone know what else to check or what it could be? Graphics are integrated on this model as well.
