Hi,

I got a 2014 13" MacBook Pro Retina where the battery currently has about 100 cycles, so it's not used very heavily, mostly on the weekends. However, i just noticed that my battery capacity has taken a sudden dip. Here the stats from coconutBattery:

Age of battery Maximum capacity
3 months 6222 mAh
27 months 6176 mAh
28 months 6053 mAh
29 months 6126 mAh
30 months 5728 mAh

Loadcycles Maximum capacity
21 cycles 6222 mAh
85 cycles 6176 mAh
92 cycles 6053 mAh
98 cycles 6126 mAh
99 cycles 5761 mAh
100 cycles 5662 mAh

As you can see, over the least few cycles the battery has all the sudden taken quite a dip in capacity. Is that normal? I was expecting a more gradual decline over time, not such sharp dips. The laptop wasn't exposed to any harsh environments either (heat/cold) that could explain his. Is there anything I can maybe to regain some capacity, such as some form of battery calibration?

I am not sure about calibration. My experience is calibration even worsen the health.
What I did now is to ensure the battery is in low temperatures and don't let it full > 80% or empty < 40%. I did this the health slowly increasing 2-5 percent (after abt 1-2 month). At least it didn't decrease more or decrease in much slower rate.
