So after doing some research I went to Best Buy in Delaware tonight (tax free shopping) and I got a what I think is a really good deal. I could have gotten the late 2014 version for $100 less but the wife thought I should get the latest one, anyway here is the price breakdown.

$1999
-10% movers coupon
$1799.1
- $50 student discount
$1749.00
- 10% for best buy credit card first use, will be a statement credit
$1574.91

But I will get reward points for this purchase as well so figure $35-40 in points, so I thought it was a pretty sweet deal.

It's a beautiful computer however I may return it and get the 13" I am just so used to the smaller size I am having a hard time adjusting so far. Holding it in my lap is fairly awkward compared to the 13" and it is also a good bit more unit to carry around. If anyone needs a 10% coupon you can almost always get them at the post office if you ask for a movers kit.

No 10%

The 10% off Best Buy Credit Card offer didn't work for me. They told me it was only for computer accessories. I tried it today when getting a open box rMBP 15.

I did have the movers coupon so that helped...

Just did something similar, the best bet I found was doing the following (using your example)

http://store.apple.com/us_edu_355380/buy-mac/macbook-pro

$1,899.00 (15" mid 2015) Apple Student Discount Price Match
10% (Bestbuy Mover's Coupon, buy from ebay or get moving pkt from USPS)
5% Buy using Shopdiscover or similar rewards program via credit card
$5 Cash back using Ibotta app by 5/31
$10+ Cash back using shopkick if you purchase in store

Plus whatever bestbuy rewardzone points you get.

So for my 15" Macbook 512MB that I bought on 5/26 it was:
$2,299.00
-229.9 (10% movers)
+170 (tax)
= $2239 On Reciept

-$22.39 (Using my Wife's Chase Sapphire Preferred)
-$400 (Using my Wife's Chase Sapphire Preferred sign-up bonus)
-$139 (Reward Zone Certs)
-$5 Cash back using Ibotta app by 5/31
-$10+ Cash back using shopkick if you purchase in store
= $1662 Total Cost
